LED Security Lighting
Exterior lighting design that makes surveillance coverage usable after dark
Most “bad camera” complaints are actually lighting complaints. A camera cannot record detail that is not there, and a parking lot with one failing fixture at the far end will produce footage where you can tell someone was present but not who they were.
We design exterior LED lighting in coordination with camera placement, so the two systems support each other instead of fighting. That means putting light where the cameras are looking, avoiding fixtures aimed straight into a lens, and eliminating the deep shadows and blown-out hot spots that make footage useless.
LED retrofits also cut energy consumption substantially against older fixtures, and last long enough that maintenance stops being a recurring line item. Motion activation and dusk-to-dawn control are available where they make sense.
